Same Time Each Year, Same Place/Year After Year--HOO???

Mr and Mrs Owl
returned once again to the nursery garden where they feel safe--
this year there are three owlets!

I believe that this is mom below and dad above.  They look the worst for wear after sitting on the nest and feeding three growing owlets.

Mom, and one of the babies not showing itself very well at all.  Mom sat many wet days and nights protecting the babies from the rain.  And you can tell by looking at her--she needs a rest!

These two are on the fledge--they are working their way up the walls to get out of the nursery and over the fence to the big beautiful sweet acacia tree.

The female owls are bigger than the males--these two were much bigger than the third owlet so maybe they are both girl owlets (owlettes?)!

The sisters sit up high watching as the their brother is trying and trying to get up to them!

Below is the last owlet to fledge--the smallest of the three so maybe the only male in this sweet little family.

This one spent many days in the nursery, building courage and strength to get up and over that big, tall fence to the other side, to the sweet acacia tree and into freedom!

SUCCESSFUL!

These owl parents arrive early and are already out of the tree
with all owlets ready to go out on their own.
Watch for them next year!
