Six Countries and Eight National Parks in Five Weeks! ©

South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania,  Chobe National Park, Okavango Delta, Kafue National Park, Hwange National Park, Victoria Falls, Lake Nakuru National Park, Amboseli National Park, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Oldupai Gorge, Serengeti National Park.

There is something about Africa that leaves you wanting more of it. The beautiful country, the smiles of the people and the thrill of the animals.  I leave my heart behind every time I come home.  I even surprised the stoic immigration person when she asked, "What are you here for?"  "To find my heart!", I responded, which immediately earned me a warm smile and friendly response!  Several days later leaving the country I ran into the same immigration person, who immediately remembered me, smiled and waved me through!

The Lion Park
Johannesburg, South Africa

At the Lion Park in Johannesburg we were allowed to spend fifteen to twenty minutes in an enclosed area with six baby lions.  These babies, after they are six months old, will be released into a family of lions that live in the park in different sections.  The lions that live in the park have been rescued after injury or have been born into captivity.   They are well taken care of and the park is a way for everyone to see the wildlife of Africa.
